Family sues Google and others alleging that the Maps app led husband to his death
Per Gizmodo, the claim was recorded for the benefit of Paxson's widow, Alicia. The law office addressing the family gave an official statement saying that "bearings from Google Guides misinformed him to his demise over a long imploded span." Paxson and his family had recently moved from Florida to Hickory, North Carolina; since Philip was new to the area, he depended on Google Guides for route. However, in obscurity and the downpour, the application was driving Paxson toward an extension that was known as the "Scaffold to No place" by local people for 10 years
State officers who answered to the scene and recuperated Mr. Paxson's body noticed that there were no signs or boundaries to caution drivers about the imploded span. As per the public statement, individuals residing in Hickory, North Carolina, where the fell extension was found, attempted to move Google Guides to course traffic away from the imploded span and to get the proprietors of the scaffold (co-respondents with Google) to set up hindrances and advance notice signs. The occupants additionally believed the proprietors of the extension should fix it.
